Once again, this Spring is turning out to be good for the upland birds. A few rainy days between now and mid June would help to keep things green and the insect population heavy. Today, while the dogs and I were hiking, we found evidence of probable avian predation. The kind of predation that might help some of our chukar species. We found this jaw bone on a rock outcropping.
